MOQ progress

What this feature does

Minimum order quantity progress combines eligible paid platform units with separately recorded external units to communicate whether production can proceed.

This guide describes the behavior implemented by Mallello, the people allowed to use it, and the operational checks that keep it dependable.

Detailed workflow

1. A hosted paid order contributes its purchased quantity after payment is confirmed.
2. A vendor may add a documented external contribution for orders accepted on another platform.
3. The listing aggregates both sources without converting external units into Mallello revenue.
4. At close, the result is compared with the target MOQ.

Rules and permissions

• Cancelled or fully refunded order units do not remain successful paid participation.
• An external contribution must record a source and quantity and is attributable to the vendor user who entered it.
• The interface must label external units to avoid misleading customers.
• MOQ is a production threshold, not a promise of delivery date.

Failure handling and edge cases

• Out-of-order webhooks must not double count an order.
• Manual contributions should be reversible through a controlled audit path if entered incorrectly.
• Partial refunds require an explicit quantity policy rather than guessing from payment amount.
