Listing status updates
Vendors publish durable progress messages for launch, manufacturing, delay, fulfillment, or other important group-buy milestones.
What this feature does
Vendors publish durable progress messages for launch, manufacturing, delay, fulfillment, or other important group-buy milestones.
This guide describes the behavior implemented by Mallello, the people allowed to use it, and the operational checks that keep it dependable.
Detailed workflow
- The vendor selects one owned listing and writes a concise update.
- The server validates ownership and content.
- The update appears in the listing's public timeline.
- Eligible listing and vendor followers are queued for notification.
- The vendor can use later updates to correct or clarify the record.
Rules and permissions
- Updates should be factual, dated, and specific about changed expectations.
- Editing history must not erase material customer commitments without trace.
- Only the owning vendor or administrator can publish for a listing.
- Customer-specific private data never belongs in a public update.
Failure handling and edge cases
- Email delivery failure does not remove the published update.
- Duplicate submissions should not send duplicate notifications.
- Emergency corrections should reference the earlier statement clearly.
