Advertising credits

What this feature does

Advertising credits fund eligible Mallello promotion and can be granted, purchased, or matched under campaign rules without being confused with withdrawable cash.

This guide describes the behavior implemented by Mallello, the people allowed to use it, and the operational checks that keep it dependable.

Detailed workflow

1. An administrator or qualifying acquisition flow allocates credits to a vendor ledger.
2. The vendor views the available balance in Ads or Billing.
3. The vendor creates an eligible promotion or requests spend.
4. Spend is reserved and deducted with a ledger entry.
5. Expired, reversed, or bonus credits follow their recorded terms.

Rules and permissions

• Credits are non-cash platform value unless terms explicitly say otherwise.
• Manual grants require an administrator, reason, amount, and audit entry.
• Balances are calculated from ledger-like records rather than one silently editable number.
• Bonus eligibility and caps are enforced server-side.

Failure handling and edge cases

• Concurrent spends cannot drive the balance below allowed limits.
• Deleting a campaign does not automatically restore spent delivery.
• Refunding a credit purchase and reversing promotional credit are separate actions.
