What this feature does
The vendor journey moves from verified application through approval, Stripe onboarding, listing creation, sales, communication, fulfillment, and support.
This guide describes the behavior implemented by Mallello, the people allowed to use it, and the operational checks that keep it dependable.
Detailed workflow
- Start an application from Apply to be a vendor; create and verify an account if required.
- Submit business details and retain the application receipt.
- Wait for an administrator to approve or request follow-up.
- Connect a Stripe account and finish every required onboarding item.
- Create a draft listing, define variants, MOQ, refund cutoff, timeline, and images.
- Publish, communicate updates, monitor orders, and fulfill the group buy.
Rules and permissions
- An application belongs to the verified account that submitted it.
- Approval grants vendor access but does not bypass Stripe payout requirements.
- The vendor is the seller of record for direct Connect charges and owns refund, dispute, fulfillment, tax, and customer obligations subject to platform terms.
- Vendor actions are limited to the vendor's own resources.
Failure handling and edge cases
- Incomplete onboarding blocks hosted payments even when a listing is live.
- Rejected or pending applications must not create duplicate vendor profiles.
- Support can inspect errors, but vendors should never email bank details or secret keys.
