Terms of service

Effective 1 August 2026. These terms govern use of Mallello's directory, hosted marketplace, vendor tools, advertising, and subscriptions.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and use the service lawfully. Mallello may suspend accounts involved in fraud, abuse, unsafe products, or material violations of these terms. Vendor and administrator access is subject to additional verification.

Directory listings

Free listings link to independent vendor sites. Purchases made there are governed by that vendor's checkout, policies, and payment relationship; Mallello does not receive or fulfill those external orders.

Hosted group buys

Hosted listings are sold by the identified vendor and paid through that vendor's connected Stripe account using Mallello's checkout. The vendor is the seller responsible for the product, fulfillment, customer obligations, and compliance with applicable consumer law. Group buys involve production, minimum-order, schedule, and delivery risks, and displayed dates are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

Payments, fees, and payouts

Stripe processes customer payments directly for the vendor, verifies the vendor's connected account, and pays the vendor's available balance to its registered bank account. Mallello receives the platform fee shown for the vendor's plan as a separate application fee. The platform fee is earned for operating the marketplace and is retained when an order is refunded, to the extent permitted by the vendor agreement and applicable law. A retained platform fee does not reduce a customer refund described as full; the vendor bears that fee in addition to funding the customer refund. Vendors remain responsible for payment-processing fees, taxes, fulfillment, warranties, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, negative balances, and related costs allocated to their Stripe account.

Refunds, failed MOQ, and disputes

Hosted listings display a seller-selected refund-request deadline within the order period. Group-buy orders are generally non-cancelable after that deadline or once manufacturing, procurement, or another irreversible production commitment begins. Vendors may extend, but may not shorten, a disclosed deadline after customers have ordered. If a hosted group buy closes below its stated MOQ, Mallello initiates full customer refunds from the vendor's connected Stripe account regardless of that deadline. Vendors authorize Mallello and Stripe to process approved or mandatory refunds against their connected-account balance and must maintain sufficient funds. These commercial rules do not exclude statutory withdrawal, conformity, defect, safety, non-delivery, chargeback, or other rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subscriptions and advertising

Go+ renews on the interval shown at checkout until canceled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless law requires otherwise. Advertising begins only after payment or sufficient credits and remains labeled as sponsored content.

Acceptable content

You may not list unlawful, counterfeit, infringing, misleading, dangerous, or fraudulent products; upload malicious files; manipulate reviews or campaigns; probe accounts; or interfere with the service.

Availability and liability

The service may change or experience interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Stripe account configuration allocates payment losses between Stripe, Mallello, and vendors, but contractual wording cannot override Stripe's rules or applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, Mallello is not responsible for indirect losses or failures caused by independent vendors, external sites, carriers, or force-majeure events.
